Throughout the year, Scotland Captured brings the beauty of Scotland to audiences across the country through a programme of exhibitions and events. From local galleries and visitor centres to major photography and outdoor shows, each exhibition showcases a carefully curated collection of Stephen Ball’s award-winning landscape photography, celebrating Scotland’s ever-changing light, dramatic scenery, and natural beauty.

Edinburgh - 2 July to 31 Aug 2026 - EXTENDED until end of September!

Visitors to Ocean Terminal this summer will have the opportunity to experience the breathtaking landscapes of Scotland through the lens of acclaimed photographer Stephen Ball, as his new exhibition, Scotland Captured, opens on 2nd July and runs until the end of August.

Featuring more than 30 framed prints, the exhibition presents a stunning collection of Scottish landscape photography showcasing the country’s dramatic mountains, rugged coastlines, historic landmarks, and atmospheric natural scenery. The exhibition offers visitors a unique visual journey through some of Scotland’s most iconic and lesser-known locations.

“Scotland offers some of the most spectacular landscapes in the world, and this exhibition is a celebration of the places, light and moments that make the country so special,” said Stephen Ball. “I’m delighted to bring this collection to Ocean Terminal and share these images with visitors throughout the summer.”

Located in the heart of Leith’s waterfront, Ocean Terminal provides an accessible and vibrant venue for visitors, tourists and photography enthusiasts to enjoy this free exhibition during the peak summer season.

All prints displayed at the exhibition have a QR code with links interested buyers of prints and framed prints to the website.

Stephen will be in attendance himself at different times during the exhibition. Information on his visit will be posted on social media ahead of time.
